126 x 237 x 103 inches

This piece began as a reflection on some of our past architectural additions, such as our projects at the Brooklyn Museum, Governor’s Island and Art Omi, in which we grafted onto already existing architecture. The new appendage often housed a collection relating to the site on the inside. After working with several institutions to explore these temporary additions and looking into the history of D.I.Y. architecture and anarchitecture, upcoming plans are to start with a friends trailer upstate, then a trailer in a ghost town in Arizona. The next step would be the exterior of someone’s mansion or interior of someone’s sauna, creating a functional space as well as a challenging work of art.

Special thanks to The LMCC, Art Omi, and the Brooklyn Museum for supplying the architecture for us to annex onto. David Nash for his inspiration, interview and artwork.
